Mission Creative launches WebXpress
'Do-it-yourself' web sites with all the trimmings!
Mission Creative has developed a browser-based program that offers businesses and civic organizations the ability to build and maintain their own full-featured web sites for little or no expense.
The new feature is part of AccessDubuque.com, a community web site dedicated exclusively to the greater Dubuque area.
"We wanted a way to give local non-profit clubs and organizations a way to have a professional web site at no cost," said Mission Creative General Manager Jac Tilton. "At the same time, we wanted to give small businesses a low-cost way to take advantage of electronic commerce opportunities on the Internet. WebXpress addresses both of those needs," Tilton said.
The program offers businesses four different levels of web sites, all for less than $100 per month. Part of the advantage of WebXpress is prominent exposure on AccessDubuque.com, said Electronic Media Director Randy Rodgers.
"AccessDubuque already has links to more than 900 Dubuque-area web sites," Rodgers said, "and now WebXpress will give every business and organization an opportunity to get exposure on our site."
No specialized software, technical knowledge or design skills are needed. All users need to build and maintain their web site is a standard web browser and an Internet connection. They have a choice of styles and color schemes from which to choose, and users can update their web sites any time, day or night, as often as they like.

AccessDubuque announces online Yellow Pages
Local business listings backed by national database
AccessDubuque.com announced today a new affiliation with Switchboard.com, the nation's largest provider of online business and residential listings.
Dubuque-area Yellow Page listings, which include interactive maps and driving directions, are integrated throughout AccessDubuque.com.
"This service gives consumers a fast and easy way to find local businesses," said Randy Rodgers, Telegraph Herald director of electronic media. "Links to Pre-sorted category listings can be found on nearly every page of the site," Rodgers said, "and the powerful search engine allows you to quickly find a business by name, category or location. It sure beats flipping through a phone book!"
Rodgers said the online Yellow Page listings also give local businesses a great promotional opportunity. Enhanced listings and display advertising can link directly to a company's web site.
