Elegant furnishings and 13-foot high ceilings reflect the splendor of ante-bellum Dubuque. Step back into the 1850s as costumed guides interpret the history of lead mining and its role in Dubuque's development, including the home with its cupola view of the Mississippi River and Iowa's oldest standing building, the log cabin and a one-room schoolhouse.

Tour the 277-foot sidewheeler, the William M. Black, now a national historic landmark.
