Well, we are a few weeks into the live racing season at Dubuque Greyhound Park.
It's been a pretty good start so far. Decent handles, as the signal going out has helped a lot.
There have been fewer "alls" in the trifecta and superfecta payoffs. And, when there have been, it has made sense, as long shots hit the top couple of spots.
Let's hope the numbers keep strong.
Here are a few other items (through races on May 14):
* Blazing Riley has the fastest 5/16th time, with a 30.48. He's from the Hardison & Rader Kennel.
* Terrific Timing, from the L&K Kennel, has the fastest Dubuque Course time of 38.77 (and, Sunday, he posted a 39.63).
* Five of the eight box positions have won in Dubuque Course Races. Only the five, six and seven haven't.
* In the 5/16th, the eight box has won 29 times. The six box is next with 26 and the one has 25. The five trails with 18.
* The 7-8 is the top combination for quinellas in the 5/16th. The 1-8 and 3-8 are next with 11.
