#1 Cedar Rapids RoughRiders vs. #2 Green Bay Gamblers
The two teams have combined to win the last three Anderson Cup titles as the team with the best regular season finish. Cedar Rapids captured the title this season after Green Bay had claimed the trophy in each of the previous two seasons. The Gamblers are seeking a consecutive trip to the Clark Cup Final after winning the trophy last season. The last USHL team to advance to the final series after winning the Clark Cup the previous season was the Omaha Lancers in 2002.
- Cedar Rapids had the best record in the regular season (42-12-6, 90 points) while Green Bay had the second best overall League record (41-15-4, 86 points). They were the only two USHL teams to win 40 games or more. - The teams were the top two in home victories during the regular season – Cedar Rapids (25), Green Bay (24). - The Gamblers won four of the seven meetings with the RoughRiders during the regular season. Each team only won as the visiting team once. Four of the seven games were decided by a single goal. - They were the two least penalized teams in the USHL – Cedar Rapids (11.33 PIM per game), Green Bay (13.17 PIM per game). - The Gamblers led the League in home penalty killing (94.8%) while the RoughRiders led in road penalty killing (92.9%). Green Bay led in overall penalty killing (92.5%). - The teams collectively have three of the top four goaltenders during the regular season in GAA – Ryan McKay of Green Bay led the USHL (2.00) while Adam Wilcox of Green Bay was third (2.20) and Brady Hjelle of Cedar Rapids was fourth (2.21). They also finished 1-2-3 in save percentage – McKay (.928), Hjelle (.923), and Wilcox (.922). - RoughRiders forward Jayson Megna is tied for second in the postseason with four goals. - Gamblers forward Austin Czarnik is tied for the USHL playoff lead with two game-winning goals.
